I am in my 4th year of college, majoring in Illustration. I am specifically studying to go into visual development/concept art. I have a very traditional art background, so while I can draw figures from live models and photos, I can’t do it well from my imagination. Searching for reference online and taking reference of myself takes a lot of time and limits the poses, lighting, and angles I’m able to get.
I wish I had bought these years ago. I’ve used them for two days and they have made my ideation process so much more efficient and enjoyable. I can create a pose I have an idea for, then adjust and rotate the model till I get the clearest and most interesting silhouette in a fraction of the time it’d take me to draw a bad and inaccurate version of that pose from my head. Then I can actually explore a character’s design instead of fighting to get a pose right.
I wanted some simple fabric information so I cut out some cheap fabric and made a cloak with ties, saftey pins, and paper clips to hold the folds in place. I also found that my metal clay tools can be used as great sword stand-ins since the palms are magnetized!

Although I have yet to settle on a name, I have already bonded with this little dude! Assembly went well and after he was all put together, I worked his joints around for a bit and now he’s all ready to start his adventure. Sticky Bones is really well made and so much fun! Shipping was also super fast! I plan on toying around with a little stop action animation using him, but for the most part he’ll be my little coworker on my work-from-home desk!

I don't use it for work or anything, it's just a "toy", maybe a tad expensive for a toy but i enjoy posing it. Stress relieving? Maybe. I'm greatly impressed with the design of my Stickybones figure, as well as the immense versatility. I searched for a long time for a reasonable miniature model to help practice more dynamic poses for characters in my drawings. Most examples were brittle and flimsy, not even worth the cost of shipping. My Stickybones is durable and limited only to the borders of the imagination. I'm already having a ton of fun bringing different pose ideas to life.

Really love the product. Only this to watch out for is the fingers, easily lost. Really wish this wasn’t the case. I opened the package, put my fingers on and one popped off, can’t find the thumb. Other than that, awesome product and a bit pricey.

love it :) very poseable, holds poses perfectly. really impressed. using my little guy as a reference has improved my drawings a lot so far. only thing is, the hands are a bit fiddly - the ends of the fingers sometimes pop off, but I understand it's difficult to articulate joints well when they're so small

He came very neatly packaged, organized into a few plastic baggies. He was pretty easy to assemble, except for the feet which I ended up needing a tool for. His joints were a little stiff at first, but have loosened up with use. The poses you can get with this guy are great, and very helpful as reference images. He’s pretty light, but feels sturdy and the magnets in his hands and feet are pretty strong.

I purchased the StickyBones figure and it's pretty cool. I was a bit surprised when I opened it up and found it in pieces. Didn't realize you would need to put it together. But no big deal, I watched the recommended video (which was helpful) and before long it was up and posing. I made a quick stop motion video, to test it out. The joints stay in position nicely and the steel base is sturdy enough so the figure won't fall over. The price point is a tad high. I would've felt more comfortable paying $60-$65. But I'm a cheap bastard, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

The tips of the fingers are the weakest link - they have a tendency to fall off easily.
Otherwise it was very poseable. I’m a olympic fencing coach - your product was the only one I could pose in the “ en garde “ position.

The most poseable , malleable maquette ever made !!! A LOT of thought and planning went into designing this and it shows.
Using it for drawing complex comic book poses and it's better than anything that i have used in the past to include the Body- Kun and wooden ones which are crap compared to this. in fact, i have given all that stuff away after i received the SB. Need to be careful with those finger pieces !! awaiting the preformed hands and fly rig. I'm all in !!! i await any future developments. Just take my money and thank you

My guys trip to northern europe hit a little snag, but I was all the happier to have him arrive home safely! He is everything he was promised to be, extremely poseable and durable once you get him assembled! My favourite thing about this art doll must be the hands. I haven't encountered any other art doll with this much articulation in the hands, only different hand models to switch between. It makes a world of difference, now he can hold tiny props with amazing accuracy :) I am super happy with him and can't wait to get him a friend as well

Great tool for artists, a solidly made figure that holds a variety of poses very well. I have tried many drawing mannequins before and found that the inaccurate anatomy and lack of flexibility made them practically useless for what I was seeking. Stickybones can get much closer to accurately executing difficult poses, and the magnetic base means I can stand it up without any concern of it toppling over and losing a pose.
Overall I have no complaints.

It would be great if they had one that looked more feminine, with an hourglass figure to go along with the masculine shape of their primary figures.
